About the Space
Factory Floor sits on the ground floor of a converted warehouse in Redfern, Sydney — one of the city's most interesting inner-city neighbourhoods. The building was a working factory. Now it's a home worth staying in.
One bedroom, one big open-plan living space, and a private entrance. Tallowwood floors, masonry windows, antique brass fittings. Sleeps up to four — the sofa converts to a bed. The kind of place that makes you want to cook dinner instead of booking a restaurant.
Redfern Station is 200 metres away. The city is ten minutes. The neighbourhood will keep you busy for days.
The Space

01
Open plan, with the original tallowwood floors carrying through from kitchen to lounge. A long linen sofa, low timber coffee table, and the kind of light you only get from north-facing masonry windows. The TV is mounted, the Sonos is wired in, and the record player sits on a steel shelf beside a small vinyl collection.

02
Queen bed, linen sheets, blackout curtains. A reading chair by the window and a small wardrobe with proper hangers. The kind of room where you sleep in by accident.

A dedicated full-size desk in its own corner of the apartment. Ergonomic chair, 4K monitor on a USB-C dock, and lighting designed for video calls rather than mood. The fastest internet point in the apartment sits right beside it. The kind of setup that makes you actually want to work.

The Building
The building has been a lot of things. A factory floor is where things get made — where raw materials become something worth keeping.
The apartment keeps that spirit. Tallowwood floors that have seen decades of use. Masonry walls that hold the warmth of the afternoon sun. A private entrance that was probably a loading dock once.
We've added the things that make a stay worth remembering: proper linen, a sharp knife, an espresso machine that earns its space, a work nook with a 4K monitor and ergonomic chair, and internet fast enough to mean it. The sofa converts to a bed if you need it — the apartment sleeps four.
"The kind of place that makes you want to cook dinner instead of booking a restaurant."

Guest Reviews
"Stayed for a week working remotely and didn't want to leave. The work nook is genuinely better than my home office. The light in the morning is something else."
Sarah M. — Melbourne
"Best Airbnb I've stayed in. The bathroom alone is worth the trip. Redfern is incredible — we walked everywhere."
James K. — Brisbane
"The private entrance is a secret weapon. We had breakfast in the courtyard every morning. The lemon tree even had lemons."
Priya R. — Singapore

The Neighbourhood
Redfern has been Sydney's most interesting neighbourhood for the past decade. Artists, chefs, architects, and people who got tired of paying Surry Hills rent all ended up here. Factory Floor is right in the middle of it.
The result is a suburb that feels genuinely alive — good coffee, good food, good bars, and Carriageworks, the old railway workshops turned arts precinct, three minutes from the front door.
Carriageworks runs a Saturday Farmers Market every weekend — around seventy stalls, theatre, exhibitions, late-night gigs, and long lunches in the food hall. Walk down, no booking required.
Stay close. Walk more. Eat well. Redfern will take care of the rest.
